Newbery, James Cosmo (1843 - 1895)

Born: 28 June 1843  Leghorn, Tuscany, Italy.  Died: 1 May 1895  St Kilda, Victoria, Australia.
James Cosmo Newbery was appointed as analyst to the Geological Survey of Victoria in 1865 and then scientific superintendent of the Industrial and Technological Museum, Victoria in 1869. He was an authority on gold amalgamation.
