Cecil Arthur Butler was founder of Butler Air Transport, which later became Airlines of New South Wales.

1923 - 1928Ground Engineer at Larkin-Sopwith Air Craft Supply Co. Pty Ltd and Larkin's Australian Aerial Services Ltd
1927Pilot's licence obtained
1929 - 1934Established his own aircraft business
1930Built a small, all-metal, high-winged monoplane
1934Won the Charleville (Queensland)-Cootamundra (New South Wales) airmail route tender
1934 - c. 1958Managing Director of Butler Air Transport Pty Ltd
1936 - c. 1958Chairman of Butler Air Transport Pty Ltd
