Kolm, Jan Eric (1918 - )

Born: 14 August 1918
Jan Eric Kolm was educated in Germany and Czechoslovakia before arriving in Australia in around 1950. He joined ICI Australia as a chemist and remained with the organization for over thirty years. His last post with ICI was as the company's Executive Director (1973-1980). Kolm was also a Director of many other companies including CSR Chemicals Ltd., Nylex Corporation Ltd. and Beach Petroleum NL (1981-1988). He was a member of many scientific bodies and a fellow of the Australian Institute of Managers (FAIM), The Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (FTSE) and the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (FRACI). Kolm was appointed Officer in the Order of Australia (AO) in 1983.
