Born: 1817  Dublin, Ireland.  Died: 13 May 1899  Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
Frederick McCoy was Professor of Natural Sciences, University of Melbourne 1854-99, Director of the National Museum of Victoria from 1858 and President of the Royal Society of Victoria, 1864.
