Born: 13 December 1850  Penrith, Cumberland, England.  Died: 1 July 1936  Glen Iris, Victoria, Australia.
Edward John Nanson was Professor of Mathematics, University of Melbourne 1875- 1922 and published widely on electoral reform and proportional and preferential voting.
