Woolnough, Walter George (1876 - 1958)

Geologist
Born: 15 January 1876  Brushgrove, New South Wales, Australia.  Died: 28 September 1958  Northbridge, New South Wales.
Walter George Woolnough taught geology at the University of Sydney from 1898 and at the University of Adelaide until 1912. He was the first Professor of Geology, University of Western Australia 1913-19 and geological advisor to the Commonwealth of Australia 1927-41.
