Engineer, Melbourne Electricity Supply Company 1926-27; Metropolitan Vickers (Australia) Ltd 1927-28; trainee geophysicist, Imperial Geophysical Experimental Survey 1928-30; engineer, State Electricity Commission of Victoria 1930-32; applied geophysicist, Victoria 1933-34; Mt Lyell Mining Company, Queenstown, Tasmania 1934-35; Northern Australia Aerial Survey 1935-38; electrical engineer, Southern Electricity Supply, Cootamundra, New South Wales 1938-46; Cairns Electricity Board, Queensland 1946-52; Sydney County Council 1952-70; consulting engineer, Sydney 1970-75.
