Noel Gordon Chamberlain worked as a geophysicist for the Commonwealth Mineral Resources Survey (later Bureau of Mineral Resources, Geology & Geophysics, then Australian Geological Survey Organisation) from 1944-80. He was Chief Geophysicist from 1973-80.
