Newman, Leslie John William (1878 - 1938)

Born: 16 February 1878  Port Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.  Died: 8 December 1938.
Leslie John W. Newman joined the Western Australian Department of Agriculture in 1904 as a horticultural inspector. In 1918 he was appointed economic entomologist and head of department and in 1920 was appointed government entomologist.
