Born: 16 May 1933  Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
Phillip John Grouse was Director of the computer training centre (CITSR) at Curtin University at the time of his death due to cancer. He had previously been Managing Director of Stylus Software Pty Ltd and an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Systems, University of New South Wales. He was educated at the University of Sydney (BSc, MSc).
