Hodgkinson, Clement (1818 - 1893)

Born: 1818  Southampton, England.  Died: 5 September 1893  Hawthorn, Victoria, Australia.
Clement Hodgkinson was the Victorian Assistant-Commissioner of Crown Lands and Survey 1861-74. He established a programme of reservation, regulation, administration and education to control the use of Victoria's forests, a model for the future forestry profession.
