Irving, John R.P. (1909? - 1945)

 
Applied chemist
Born: 1909?.  Died: 12 April 1945.
John R. P. Irving worked at the University of Queensland where he graduated with a BScApp in 1931. He was employed there from c1932 on a CSIR (Council for Scientific and Industrial Research) project investigating the recovery of by-products in the industrial manufacture of alcohol. In 1942 he moved to Adelaide to join the chemical staff of Messrs Beckers Pty Ltd, where he remained until1945. Irving was on the Committee of Direction of Fruit Marketing in Brisbane and Sydney.
