Kevin Thomas Spillane worked for the Bureau of Meteorology and specialised in the field of clear air turbulence.

Career Highlights
BSc, 1953. PhD, University of Melbourne, 1970. Joined the Bureau of Meteorology in 1946, in the Brisbane office, and was one of the first group of postwar cadet meteorologists in 1949. Duty forecaster, Adelaide, 1956. Lecturer, Training School, Melbourne, from 1959. Research and Development Division, 1963, working in the field of clear air turbulence.
