Whittingham, Herbert E. ( - 1970)

Died: 7 March 1970
Herbert E. Whittingham joined the Bureau of Meteorology in 1939 as a junior meteorological assistant, and served in the RAAF during the Second World War. After the war he returned to the Bureau in the Queensland Regional Office. In 1953 he was attached to Crohamhurst Observatory for several months to investigate the long range forecasting theories of Inigo Jones.
