Gill, Walter (1851 - )

Forester

Born: 13 October 1851 England

Walter Gill was Conservator of Forests in South Australia 1890-1923. He was the first person in South Australia to sucessfuly utilise the remarkable pine (Pinus insignis) for commercial purposes.
