Computer scientist
Born: 21 November 1924
Terence Sydney Holden helped to develop an on-line, multi-user system in 1965 for the CSIRO Section of Computing Research's Control Data 3600 computer system, called DAD. It allowed time-shared access by many users using keyboard VDU terminals, which were then new. This was the first large scale, on-line, multi-user system in Australia other than the small Cirrus.
