Born: 4 July 1922
Lawrence Louis Muller led a whey utilisation project at CSIRO Dairy Research Laboroatories. This is a low energy process which has a number of applications in the dairy industry and also in the concentration of fruit juices.

Born 4 July 1922. Educated University of Queensland (BSc 1947). Bacteriologist, Queensland Department of Agriculture and Stock 1947-54; Technologist, Downs Cooperative Dairy Association, Toowoomba 1954-58; research positions, CSIRO Dairy Research Laboratory 1958-86; Officer in Charge, CSIRO Dairy Research Laboratory 1979-86. Fellow, Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering 1983. Life member, Australian Institute of Food Science.
