Born: 12 June 1918  Jaffna, Ceylon.  Died: 10 March 2001  Australia.
Christie Jayaratnam Eliezer was professor of mathematics at Universities in Ceylon, Malaya and Australia. In 1949 Eliezer was called to he bar at the Middle Temple, London. He had a wide range of interests, from mathematics and quantum physics, to co-hosting the 3EA (later SBS) Tamil language programme with his wife.
