MAKINSON, Richard Elliss Bodenham

Born Sydney 5 May 1913; died Sydney 15 January 1979. Education, Sydney University (B.Sc. 1935) and Cambridge University (Ph.D. 1939). Assistant lecturer in physics, Sydney University 1939-45; lecturer 1945-51; Reader 1951-68. Associate Professor in physics, Macquarie University 1968-78.
