GILET, Pierre Gerard Mathieu

Born Sydney 1 August 1913; died at sea 7 February 1958. Education Sydney University (B.Sc. 1935, B.E. 1937). Research fellow of mechanical engineering at Sydney University 1937-39. Research officer, C.S.I.R. National Standards Laboratory 1939-45; Senior research officer 1945-52. Senior lecturer in mechanical engineering at Melbourne University 1952-58.
