Instructor of engineering, Working Men's College, Melbourne, 1906-09. Lecturer in natural philosophy, University of Melbourne 1911-24; Physicist, National Physics Laboratory, U.K., 1915-19. Assistant, Melbourne Observatory, 1924-40. Physicist, Metrology Department, Munitions Supply Laboratories Maribyrnong, 1940-45. Superintendent of Weights and Measures, Victoria, 1944-49.
