Born Boort, Victoria, 24 February 1919. Education Sydney University (B.Sc. 1940, M.Sc. 1949). Engineer, A.W.A. Valve Co., 1940-41. Research officer C.S.I.R. Radio Research Board, 1942-47. Lecturer in mathematics, Sydney Technical College 1947-52; Senior lecturer in mathematics, N.S.W. University of Technology (later University of N.S.W.) 1952-79.
