Auld, Patrick (1811 - 1886)

Born: 1811  Wigtownshire, Scotland.  Died: 21 January 1886  Onehunga, New Zealand.
Patrick Auld established the Auldana vineyard. His son, William Patrick Auld succeeded him as manager of Auldana, which was later acquired by Penfold Wines Pty Ltd.

Career Highlights
Born Wigtownshire, Scotland, 1811. Died Ohehunga, near Auckland, New Zealand, 21 January 1886. Migrated to Adelaide 1842, publican and later wine and spirits merchant, Hindley Street 1842-46, wine and spirits merchant, trading from his property, Home Park, Magill 1846-49, in England 1849-52, wine and spirits merchant and planting the Auldana vineyard from 1852, sold to the South Auldana Vineyard Association Ltd 1862, with Auld as manager, continued at the vineyard when the company wound up 1865, opened London office 1871, in New Zealand 1881-86.
