Born: 28 February 1837  Guernsey, Channel Islands.  Died: 13 February 1918  Armadale, Victoria, Australia.
Nicholas John Caire was involved in both outdoor and X-Ray photography.

Career Highlights
Born Guernsey, Channel Islands, 28 February 1837. Died Armadale, Victoria, 13 February 1918. Arrived Adelaide ca 1860. Travelled through Gippsland 1865, taking photographs of Aboriginals and landscapes; studio in Adelaide 1867-70; photographer, Talbot, Victoria 1870-76; studio, Melbourne 1876-85; outdoor photography from 1885; did X-ray photography one day a week free for the Melbourne General Hospital.
