Pye, James (1801 - 1884)

Born: 1801  Toongabbie, New South Wales, Australia.  Died: 30 December 1884  Parramatta, New South Wales.
James Pye ran large orchards in the Field of Mars near Ryde, and Seven Hills districts from around 1810 and became an authority on fruit- growing. He was founding member of the Cumberland, Camden and Cook Agricultural Society in 1843.
