Born: 18 May 1890 Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. Died: 26 December 1978 Adelaide, South Australia, Australia.

John Campbell Earl, Professor of Organic Chemistry, University of Sydney 1928- 47, was previously lecturer and demonstrator from 1921. He had earlier worked for Faulding & Co. 1915, and at the Imperial Institute 1911-13 and Wilton Research Laboratories 1918-19, UK.
