Born: 15 August 1883  Yarrawonga, Victoria, Australia.  Died: 24 June 1962.
Reuben Tom Patton was Lecturer then Senior Lecturer in Agricultural Botany and Plant Pathology, University of Melbourne 1921-48. President of the Royal Society of Victoria 1941-42. During World War II he was employed in strategic mapping. He published "Know your own trees" and "Garden farming".
