Stanley, Owen (1811 - 1850)

Born: 13 June 1811  England.  Died: March 1850  Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
Owen Stanley was commander of the HMS "Rattlesnake" in 1847-1850 and led a maritime and scientific survey of the Great Barrier Reef and New Guinea waters.
