Carnegie, David Wynford (1871 - 1900)

Born: 23 March 1871  London, England.  Died: 21 November 1900  Kerifi, Nigeria.
David Wynford Carnegie made two commissioned prospecting expeditions for the Hampton Plains Pastoral Company 1894-95, then made an inland crossing of Western Australia 1896-97. He published Spinifex and Sand in England in 1898.

Tea plantation, Ceylon; various gold mines, Coolgardie, 1892-94; commissioned propsecting expeditions for the Hampton Plains Pastoral company 1894-95; crossed Western Australia from south to north 1896-97; England 1897-99; assistant resident, Northern Nigeria 1899-1900.
