Devine, Hugh Berchmans (1878 - 1959)

Born: 13 May 1878  Little River, Victoria, Australia.  Died: 18 July 1959.
Hugh Berchmans Devine was instrumental in the establishment of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, the Anti-Cancer Council and of St. Vincent's, Melbourne both as a hospital and a teaching school. He was also widely known for his work on abdominal surgey.
