Parry, William Edward (1790 - 1855)

Arctic explorer and Agriculturalist
Born: 19 December 1790  Bath, Somerset, England.  Died: 8 July 1855  Ems, England.
(Sir) William Edward Parry was involved in Arctic exploration in 1818-28 and was Acting Hydrographer for the British Admiralty in 1825-29. In 1829 he became Commissioner of the Australian Agricultural Company, a position he held until 1834.
