Westwood, John Obadiah (1805 - 1893)

Born: 22 December 1805  Sheffield, England.  Died: 2 January 1893.
John Obadiah Westwood was the first Hope Professor at the University of Oxford, where he was Chair of Invertebrate Zoology. He made major contributions to the field of Australian entomology and wrote a great many articles between 1835 and 1864.
