Pittman, Edward Fisher (1849 - 1932)

Born: 31 July 1849  Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.  Died: 18 November 1932  South Yarra, Victoria.
Edward Fisher Pittman was appointed New South Wales government geologist in 1891 and in 1902 became under secretary of the Department of Mines (and Agriculture until 1906) while continuing as government geologist. From 1883 he was chief mining surveyor for the colony.
