Born: 8 August 1925
Owen Edward Potter was Reader and Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Melbourne and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology 1960-63 and foundation Professor of Chemical Engineering at Monash University. He invented steam fluidised bed drying.

Arnold Greene Medal, Institute of Chemical Engineers UK, Chemeca Medal Institute of Chemical Engineers UK 1990, ICI (UK) Award for Innovation in Drying 1992, Kernot Medal, University of Melbourne 1993.
