Dawson, Barrie (1925 - 1974)

Born: 1925  Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.  Died: 20 February 1974.
Barrie Dawson worked for the CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation) Division of Chemical Physics from 1950 to 1974. He was a Chief Research Scientist there from 1968 and was particularly interested in crystallography. Dawson joined the CSIRO after completing his studies at the universities of Melbourne (BSc, MSc) and Cambridge (PhD). In 1968 he received the Research Medal from the Royal Society of Victoria. Dawson was a member of the Ad Interim Commission on Charge, Spin and Momentum Density, International Union of Crystallography.
