Gibbons, Albert Laird (1886 - 1965)

Born: 17 July 1886  Paddington, New South Wales, Australia.  Died: 13 April 1965.
Albert Laird Gibbons was educated at the Sydney Technical College (science) and joined the Mechanical Branch of the New South Wales Department of Railways as an apprentice plumber, ca 1900. When he retired from the Department in 1952 he was the Branch Head. Later Gibbons moved to the United Kingdom where he worked for the Ministry of Munitions (1916 - ca 1919) and for Brunner Mond (ca 1919-1921).
