| John Thomas McCormick was appointed in 1910 to the newly-established Chemical Adviser's Laboratory, Department of Defence, where he became Assistant Chemical Adviser in 1918. When the Research Laboratories at Maribyrnong were established, he became Assistant Superintendent, rising to Superintnedent 1934-47. |
