| Colin Elliot Napier spent his entire working life with the Colonial Sugar Refining Co. Ltd, rising from Junior Chemist in 1927 to Factory Manager at the time of his retirement in 1969. |

| Born Lockhart, New South Wales, 22 December 1908. Died Ballina, New South Wales, 22 October 1992. Educated Universities of Sydney (1929-30) and Auckland (BSc). Junior chemist, Colonial Sugar Co. Ltd 1927-30, CSR's Research Department, Pyrmont 1931-36, Chelsea Sugar Refining, Auckland 1936-40, Pyrmont Research Department from 1940, with CSR till 1969, being progressivesly Chemist, Supervisor, Area Superintendent, Production Manager and Factory Manager of CSR Chemicals Ltd, Rhodes. |
