Beal, Susan (1935 - )

Susan Beal was assigned to research cot fatalities while working at the Adelaide Women's and Children's Hospital during the 1970s. After extensive research she identified placing infants to sleep on their stomachs as a risk factor of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
