D. J. Casimir worked for CSIRO Division of Food Research for many years. He developed an improved process of flame sterilization of food in cans, which received international recognition.

Career Highlights
Senior Research Scientist, CSIRO Divsision of Food Research from at least 1972 to 1975, Principal Research Scientist 1976 to 1985 and Senior Principal Research Scientist from 1986 to at least 1987.
