(Sir) John Grenfell Crawford was at various times Chairman of the Board, International Food Policy Research Institute; Governor, International Development Research Centre, Canada 1970-80; Senior Agricultural Policy Adviser to World Bank, Washington; Chairman, Papua New Guinea Development Bank 1972-74; Chairman, Technical Advisory Committee to Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research 1971-76; Director, Australian Japanese Economic Research Project; and Chairman, Advisory Board, Australian Development Assistance Agency 1975-77.
