David Ernest F. Harrison is an expert in fermentation biology, industrial microbiology and biotechnology. He was a visiting Research Associate at the University of New South Wales during the 1980’s and Managing Director of Biotech Australia Pty Ltd. Prior to this he worked for Pfizer and other companies in his homeland, England. Harrison is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (FTSE), Australian Institute of Biology, (FAIBiol), Institute of Biology (Britain, FIBiol), and the Australian Institute of Management (FAIM).
