Sloan, Ian Hugh (1938 - )

Born: 17 June 1938  Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Ian Hugh Sloan has been with the School of Mathematics at the University of New South Wales since 1965 and is currently Scientia Professor. His research is in the area of mathematical analysis of approximate methods.

Fulbright Award 1978; Fellow, Australian Institute of Physics; Fellow, Australian Academy of Science 1993; ANZIAM Medal, Australian Mathematical Society 1997. Editor SIAM Journal of Numerical Analysis 1993- ; President, Australian Mathematical Society 1998-2000.
