Rose, Gordon Albert (1930 - )

Born: 5 June 1930
Gordon Albert Rose was involved with building an electrical device for the solution of polynomial equations with real coefficients at the University of Adelaide in 1952. About ten years later he was a member of the design team for the Cirrus computer. He then moved on the the University of New South Wales, where he designed and built the INTERGRAPHIC system 1964-66.

Born 5 June 1930. Educated Universities of Adelaide (BE) and New South Wales (PhD). Scientific Officer, Department of Supply (two years with British Ministry of Supply) 1952-57; Electrical Engineering Department, University of Adelaide 1958-64; Senior Lecurer, School of Electrical Engineering, University of New South Wales 1965-67, Associate Professor in Electronic Computation 1968; Professor of Computer Science, University of Queensland 1969-95.
