Patricia Margaret Coyle worked as an anaesthetist in many third world countries. She was appointed Officer of the Order of Australia, 11 June 2001, for her service to the community, particularly humanitarian aid overseas, as a practitioner in the field of anaesthesia, and through the catholic church.
