Elizabeth M. Deane has been Professor of Biology and Head of the Division of Environment and Life Sciences in the College of Science and Technology at Macquarie University, Sydney. Her research covers marsupial immunology and disease, with a particular interest in how the immune system develops and how young marsupials survive in the pouch.
