Hush, Noel Sydney (1924 - )

Born: 15 December 1924  Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
Noel Sydney Hush is Emeritus Professor of the School of Molecular and Microbial Biosciences at the University of Sydney. He has been at the University for over thirty years and was its founder of the Theoretical Chemistry discipline. Before arriving at the University of Sydney, Hush worked in England at the universities of Manchester and Bristol. He has also held numerous prestigious visiting scientist posts at universities in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. Noel Hush is author of well over two hundred publications and is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science, Royal Australian Chemical Institute and the Royal Society (UK). He was appointed a Commander Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) for his services in 1993.
