Born 24 July 1888; died Brisbane, November 1967. Education, Adelaide University 1913-15 and Cornell University (A.B. 1922, M.Sc. 1932). Radiographer, Australian Army Medical Corps, 1915-21. Instructor in physics, Cornell University 1921-27. Biophysicist, Hegeman Memorial Research Laboratory, Mt. McGregor, New York, 1927-30; Payne Whitney Psychiatric Laboratory, New York Hospital, 1932-33; CSIR/O Food Preservation Research Laboratory, Brisbane, 1934-53.
