FARR, Clinton Coleridge

Born Adelaide 22 May 1866; died 24 January 1943. Education University of Adelaide (B.Sc. 1888, D.Sc. 1902), University College London (1889) and Sydney University (1891-93). Angas Engineering Scholar 1889, 1891-93. Lecturer in electrical engineering at University of Adelaide 1894. Tutor in mathematics & physics, St. Paul's College, Sydney University, 1895-96. Lecturer in mathematics & physics at Lincoln Agricultural College, Christchurch, New Zealand, 1897-98. Director of the Christchurch Magnetic Observatory, 1898-1904. Lecturer in physics at Canterbury University College, Christchurch, New Zealand, 1904-10; professor 1910-36. F.R.S. 1928.
