Instructor-in-charge electrical engineering, Swinburne Technical College, Melbourne, 1938-40. Assistant Director, Signals & Radar Equipment and other appointments., Australian Army, 1940-45. Engineer E.M.I. (Australia), 1948-49; E.M.I. Research & Development Co. (U.K.), 1949-50. Senior lecturer in electrical engineering, University of N.S.W., 1950-61; associate professor 1961-77. President of the Institution of Radio & Electronics Engineering Australia 1968.
